is the server set up time?
Servers are set up within 1-2 business days after payment
has been confirmed
What
payment methods are acceptable?
Coloalacarte.com accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express,
Discover, and Pay pal.
What
kind of programs are installed?
Coloalacarte.com
only installs the operating system (FreeBSD, RedHat, and
Debian) and Cpanel (optional). All other programs are installed
manually by the server owner.
What
kind of service does Coloalacarte.com offer?
We offer 24 hours 7 days a week reboot service (reboot@Coloalacarte.com).
However, all other issues are processed between 9:00 am
– 6:00 pm Pacific standard time, Monday – Friday.
How
many IP address' come with each server?
There
are 10 IP address that come with each server; however, only
4 are activated. To activate the other 5, simply send an
email to (sales@Coloalacarte.com)
with proper justification for each IP address.
Are
there any overusage fees?
Depending
on the bandwidth package you have chosen, every extra GB
used will be charged $0.50 in overusage fees.
How
are servers upgraded?
Hardware upgrade to an existing account and server are done
using the account upgrade order form under the support section.
Server
upgrades that include switching to a new server are handled
in the same manner as placing a new order. When placing
the order for your new server, please note in the comment
section that you will be upgrading from your old server
and include you current IP address. Once you received your
confirmation number for you new server (which should be
immediately issued after order form submission) please cancel
your old server by emailing to (cancel@Coloalacarte.com)
and state once again that you will be upgrading your server
to the new server and include your new order confirmation
number.
We
will leave your old server on for 24 hours after activation
for the customer to perform the data transfer. If you wish
to keep the same IP address, please state this in when submitting
your new order and the cancellation email.
Any
service that might be required due to an account upgrade
or data transferring from an existing server will be charged
a minimum service fee of $50 per hour.
How
do I order additional IP’s?
Additional IP’s are sold in blocks of 10 for and extra
$10.00 per month. One server is restricted to 20 IP addresses
maximum. This is ordered through the Account upgrade order
form in the comment box.
Do
we provide software upgrades?
No. Software installations and upgrades are done manually.
What
programs are restricted from Coloalacarte.com’s servers?
We do not allow IRC, Eggdrop, and Shell. If there is a program
in question, please email info@Coloalacarte.com
with the program name and it’s purpose.
How
can I calculate total bandwidth usage?
We provide MRTG graphs for our customers. These graphs are
updated every 5 minutes and therefore, we advise our customers
to save the link. MRTG graphs are obtained by emailing info@Coloalacarte.com.
Please include the IP address.
How
do I read my MRTG graph?
MRTG graphs are relative to the switch, which means that
"In" is outward-bound traffic (green) from the
server, and "Out" is inward-bound traffic to the
server (blue).
